How the Glycemic Load Is Calculated
Glycemic load combines the quality of a carbohydrate (glycemic index) with the quantity you actually eat. The formula is:
GL = (Net Carbs × GI) ÷ 100
Net Carbs = Total Carbohydrates − Fiber.
The calculator scales the per-100g carb and fiber values to your serving size, subtracts fiber, then multiplies by GI and divides by 100.
